  • I want to lose 10 pounds in two weeks

    Is it possible for me to lose 10 pounds in as little as two weeks or is that really dangerous? I think the most I've ever lost in a week is 2 pounds, but I'm sure if I tried really hard I could lose 5, it's not that much more, right? If I wanted to achieve that how much more would I have to exercise and how many fewer calories would I have to eat? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!!

    You can lose 10 pounds in two weeks Char. The easiest way would be to follow one of those detox diets where you essentially consume nothing but liquid for a couple of weeks. However, not only is that bad for your body and you're likely to fell like garbage for the duration of the diet, but you also will only lose water weight and muscle mass and then you'll just gain all the weight back that you lost and you might find it 10 times harder to get rid of it because your metabolsim is all messed up and will need to rebalance...not that I have an opinion on detox diets or anything If you want real and healthy weight loss, boost your exercise intensity and regularity and eat more fiber and lean protein and watch your fat and carb intake. Avoid all processed foods, and steer clear of alcohol, soda, refined sugar and salt. Burn more calories than you eat and you might not lose 10 pounds, but you'll lose more than 2 and it will be actual fat loss.

      If you want to lose weight that quickly then just do a detox or short-term diet that will eliminate your water weight for a bit. Losing 10 pounds in two weeks isn't practical, so no matter what methods you use to achieve it, you're unlikely to maintain your results.

        Thank for your advice. Believe it or not, but I did actually manage to lose 9 pounds in two weeks, but ya it was a total crash diet. I felt like hell and I've already gained back 5 pounds LOL. Next time I'm just going to lose weight the old fashioned way. Detoxing isn't for me!!
