  • Be realistic

One really important thing I’ve learned about trying to lose weight is that you have to be realistic about how much weight you want to lose in total, but also how much weight you want to lose in a specific amount of time. Don’t try to lose five pounds every week. You’ll just hate yourself because you can’t do it. Aim for 1 to 2 pounds or whatever your doctor says. Seriously, it will help you stay motivated because you know you can get there.

All goals in weight loss have to be realistic but still challenging at the same time. It's a really careful balance. YOu might find that adjusting your goals as you go will be helpful. I don't mean to keep decreasing your speed or anything, but get to know what you really can do when you try hard and then base it on that.
