  • Does a Fitbit only track steps?

I know that Fitbit is supposed to be the best fitness tracker on the market - well it's the leader anyway - but does it do more than just track your steps? I don't personally own one and I don't know anyone else who own ones either, but since some of you seem to own one and love it I was wondering if you could share your opinions. Thanks!

I think it has been designed to track your activity, exercise, food, weight and sleep. That said, not all their products might do that. They offer more than one product so you might want to see which device works best for you. Just remember that typically the more basic a device, the fewer features it has.

Yeah, what ffviifan said. Trackers can do different things depending on the model. Personally I think they're the best for counting steps and activity level.

Okay thank. I think I'll look into the different models on the market and see if there is one I like. I do agree that tracking steps and calories really is all that I want. I don't see how a device tracking my sleep is really going to benefit my weight loss goals anyway.
