I have been steadily losing weight for three weeks but suddenly I've stopped and it feels like no matter what I do I can't seem to lose anymore weight! What do I need to do? More Cardio? Reduce more calories? I'm losing hope that I'll ever reach my goal weight and I feel like giving up

Oh, don't give up!
You'll get by your plateau, all you need to do is burn a few more calories than you eat and change your exercise routine. Maybe the reason you're not seeing much of a difference is that you're not toning your muscles, so you're only seeing the flab that's been left over from losing the fat. Also, if you are strengthening your muscles, don't forget that muscle adds weight, but this isn't a bad weight. Also, how much water are you drinking and how much salt are you ingesting? Water weight can also be a contributing factor. Make a few adjustments and keep up with your goals. You will get there!

I found that when I hit a plateau all I had to do was boost my cardio (like add in a few more minutes each time I did it) and I started to pay more attention to the foods I ate. I found out that I'd become comfortable and a little lazy with my diet and I had started eating more calories than I had been when I initially started my diet. You might find that this is the same problem that you are facing. But whatever you do, don't stop! A plateau is far better than giving up and gaining back all of the weight you've lost!!

It's true. The worst thing you can do is give up. Think of your plateau as another challenge that you can overcome, because you can. You need to remind yourself that the more weight you lose, the more your weight loss will slow down. Also, losing weight becomes more difficult as you near your goal. Right now you should be re-evaluating your calorie intake and possibly change up your workout strategy. Usually a plateau means that you're on the right track, but you just need to make few minor adjustments! Stay positive

I've been there before too legendarytroy. But just listen to what everyone else has said. You just need to change your exercise or start paying more attention to what you eat. If you want to lose more, you need to make adjustments. But also don't forget that if you've got muscle that's weight too. Not all of your weight is fat. Just don't give up if you haven't yet reached your goal. Once you do reach it though, you'll likely find maintaining it is not so bad :)

Wow! Thanks so much for all the support :) You sure know how to make a guy feel special hahaha. I'm happy to say that I have overcome my plateau. I adjusted my calorie consumption and added an addition 30 minutes of cardio on to my workout per week and it's made a difference. I feel SO much better!
