My old digital scale goes through batteries like I go through socks. I am trying to find a digital scale that is accurate but that won’t make me have to change the batteries every month or two just because I weigh myself every Saturday.

I find that when I get the scales that use a 9v battery they last a lot longer than the ones that run on AA and AAA batteries. I don't know if I've just been lucky that way or if that is actually the way that they work. Or you could just not get a digital scale that doesn't use batteries in the first place.

Most of the scales on ebay have powerful batteries why not you try one of them but these scales are little expensive and also help you in getting accurate results.

That's true. The ones they sell now are already pretty good or they don't use that much battery when you have the type where you replace them.

Just get the old fashioned kind. You'll never need batteries
