What is the best and most accurate scale for weighing yourself and what surface is best, too? I'm really trying to get an accurate reading

Probably the ones used as doctor's offices and hospitals are the best and most accurate. For home use, honestly getting a digital or dial scale is fine. Place it on the flatest and hardest surface you can find (not carpet) and keep it out of rooms where there's a lot of humidity and moisture like bathrooms, as the moisture might mess with the electronics, particularly in the case of a digital scale.
