  • Humiliate Your Way Slim

If there’s one thing that I’ve found works for me better than just about anything else, it is having to announce how much weight I have lost (or not lost) every week that I am on a diet. I find that the humiliation of having to tell people that after a week, I didn’t gain any weight is a lot of motivation to make sure that I keep going and that I don’t eat that extra snack or that I get the side salad instead of the fries. It doesn’t mean I have to tell the world what I weigh, but I do make sure that there are people I tell every week and boy does it stop you from ever having a week where you “cheat” more than one time.

wow that sounds like a really harsh way to motivate yourself to keep going. I think if that's how I was doing it, I would end up not going to the weigh ins anymore because I would dread it too strongly.

I prefer to take a positive route and lose weight to feel good, not to stop myself from feeling bad.

Treehuggertodd, I'm glad that you've found a good way for yourself but wouldn't it be better to use positive motivations instead?
