  • Set small goals

Sometimes I find I am far more effective at achieving several small goals instead of one big giant one. For instance, while my ultimate goal may be to lose 50 pounds, instead of working toward that goal as whole, I concentrate on losing two pounds per week. This way, I'm always seeing progress and I'm always completing small goals - which keeps me motivated - until I reach my ultimate one. Hope that makes sense :D

A great idea! I also find more success when I have smaller goals instead of one massive one. At first a huge goal seems like a great idea and can be highly motivating, but after a little while, when you aren't seeing any success, it's easy to become discouraged quickly.

This is important. I also think making your goals realistic is also best. It's never wise to set yourself up for disaster, no matter how big or small your goal may be.
