  • Take a whole day off to start fresh

When I am struggling with motivation, one of the best things that I can do for myself is to just take an entire day off of any thoughts of a program or strategy. I don’t think that this is a technique that can be used a lot, but maybe once a month, I just eat whatever I want and however much I want of it. I don’t focus on weight loss or health or anything. If I want to eat cookies for every meal, I just go for it. If I want to just sit on the couch all day, I’ll do that , too. But I do it knowing that I’m starting fresh the next day. And when the next day comes, I’m ready for it.

That's actually a really good idea! As long as you take a break for a set period of time with every intention of getting back to it at full force, that could really work. Thanks for the tip!

just make sure you don't get lazy and keep saying that you'll start "tomorrow"

You could probably schedule days off to prevent yourself from actually reachign a breaking point.

Actually that's a really good idea. I am probably going to start to schedule a day off day one time per month. I think a weekly one is too much. But monthly will be really fun!

If you need a vacation from your work and from the other things that are hard in your life, then it is perfectly understandable that you take a vacation from a very long term diet every now and again, too. Just remember that all vacations come to an end.
