I'm finding more and more when people diet they're trying to achieve a crazy weight loss goal that is not only hard for them to achieve, but it's not even good for them. You don't need to be a size 2 to be gorgeous. Your goal when you lose weight should be to aim for a healthy weight. Healthy should be your goal, not squeezing into a size 2. This is advice that both overweight men and women should follow. You don't need to look like a model to be beautiful. You just need to feel good about yourself.

You're very right and I couldn't agree with your more bruceh. Losing weight isn't about being super skinny. It's about reaching a health weight for you. If people look at what a healthy BMI is they'll find that there is quite a wide weight range for what is considered a "normal" BMI. It doesn't matter if you're on the high side of normal or the low side, just get yourself in that range and stay there.

Nicely said burceh. I think the biggest shame though is that while most of us would likely agree with your statement and know that it's logical, so many of us still strive to lose weight and obtain a body that is out of our realistically achievable limits because we think that's what is beautiful. Why is it so hard to change your opinion about certain thing? Especially when you know that what you want to believe is true? *Sigh* sometimes it's really difficult being human
