  • Best social media platform

Which social media platform do you think would be best for tracking before and after pictures and that is least likely for me to receive criticism. I already asked you guys before about how to deal with criticism on facebook, but now I'm kinda wondering if there is a better program I should be using other than facebook or if it is the best one. Thoughts?

    I'd say instagram since it's picture-based.

Instagram is definitely the best one in my opinion. I hate facebook. I don't like posting on it and I don't like how people behave on it. I find that a lot of people who post on facebook say stuff that they wouldn't typically say to a person's face. It's like facebookers lack a filter or something...

Sorry didn't mean to rant, it's just a pet peeve of mine. So, yeah, Instagram lol

I appreciate the rant tobetinytina. That's sort of how I feel about facebook, too. I find that people show a whole other side of themselves that is not attractive. It's very disenchanting :(

Thank you for mentioning Instagram. Seems you're not the only one who recommends it. I'm definitely going to give it a try!

out of curiosity why do you want to post your pictures on social media if you're afraid of what others will say? Not to be harsh, but why does it matter to you that you post these pictures for others to see? Unless you're doing it for positive reasons, I personally wouldn't bother.

I agree with ffviifan. I don't think that posting before and after weight loss pictures on social media is the best idea. There is always a risk that someone you know (or who you don't know) will be unkind or troll you. If this is something that will hurt you on a profound emotional level, it's best to just keep these pictures to yourself or share them in person or via email with your supporters.

I agree that instagram and snapchat are the best if you want to take the social media route. Just make sure it's something you want to do. I know people who have had both great and bad experiences doing this. It seems to be highly motivational when it works...and detrimental to your weight loss goals when it doesn't.
