I've decided I'm going to start taking pictures of myself to help me track my weight loss progress, and I'm gonna use the new iphone I got to take selfies because I would rather take the pictures myself than have someone else do it. Can anyone provide advice or tips on how to take a good selfie for the most accurate weight loss picture results?

I'm with speeddemon on this one. I don't like selfies either and I find that they're really bad for measuring weight loss. Just bite the bullet and have someone else you trust take your photo. If you don't like the way you look, have them take the photo from the neck down so you don't have to see your face. That's what I do and I find it a lot easier to look at the pictures.

Try getting a stand for your phone or one of those hand-held devices that you can slip your phone into. That might provide you with more stability. But other than that, I think taking the photo in a mirror is really all you can do if you want a full-length photo that will allow you to get an idea of what you look like when you snap it.

Thanks for all of your great advice. I've been trying different techniques since I last posted and I think I've got it down. I've discovered that taking a pic of myself in the mirror really is the best for me...it also let's me tell myself that that both the camera and the mirror add 10 pounds LOL
