I'm thinking about tracking my weight loss progress with Instagram. I know that there is always the possibility for negativity, but I'm not too concerned about that. I'm doing this for me. Has anyone else done this with success? If so, I would love to know some tips from your experience. :)

I think the most important tip that I can think of is to create a separate account for your weight loss tracking on instagram. For two main reasons:
1 - You are more likely to get people to follow your journey if it's not all mixed in with other personal posts you may have.
2 - It's easy to delete or private the account if you decide to do this :)

If you're going to do it be honest as possible and focus your account as much as possible on your journey. Post often and be sure to post a pic of your progress every week. The best way to make social media work as a motivator is to build a following and then hold yourself accountable for keeping those who follow you informed about your progress. After all, if you're going to take that extra step and post on IG about it, what you do is as important to you as it is to your followers who are invested in taking your journey with you. :)

Thank so much for the tips and support everyone! I never thought about creating a separate account (which is really smart!) I also never thought about how frequently I would need to post. I guess it's as much of a journey for me as it would be for my potential followers.
If I do do it, I'll let you guys know where you can follow me :D
