  • Mental image first

I’ve been thinking about something lately. Even as I lose weight, whenever I see pictures of myself, all I can see is the places where I still need to burn away more fat. Also, when I think about how I look without having a mirror or a photograph around, I think of myself as looking much heavier than how I really am.

I think that as much as it is important to track your weight by weighing yourself once per week, and photograph yourself once per week to be able to actually see the results you’re getting, it’s also important to correct mental image of yourself so that you can start to get a real idea of how you look. Force yourself to realize how great you’re doing and don’t just think of yourself as too big.

That's a really good attitude, tobetinytina.

Remember that you're your own worst critic so whatever you feel about yourself, everybody else thinks that you look better than that. Try to give yourself a break!

Your mind really is the first step to success with anything that you do. If you don't fix the way you are thinking, you won't get anywhere.

My applause goes out to anyone who can master this. It's not easy but it is really the ideal.

That sure is the truth. I think that's the ultimate goal but I knwo that I'm sure not there yet. It's great that we are reminded of this a lot so we don't forget.
