  • had enough of diets

I have tried so many diets and so many products and I always end up gaining weight back. Never once have I even reached my goal weight on any program. I’ve done well at the start of a lot of them, but every single one failed. So I’m fed up with dieting and I decided that I’m doing my own thing. I use an ediet program just to track my calories, fat, protein, carbs, and nutrition, as well as the number of calories (approx) that I’m burning through exercises.

I don’t actually do that online program, but I use the tools to do my own thing. I’m doing AWESOME!. Sometimes you just have to follow your instincts.

That's actually a really good plan but most of us are starting from scratch in a lot of ways and it's really hard to know how we should be eating because we're not nutrition experts. That's something that requires a lot of time to learn so it's hard to dive right in.

For most of us, a diet plan may not be perfect but at least it gives us the guidance that we need to be able to get started. Then we can learn things that we need to know along the way that we can keep up throughout the long term.

So the best idea is to find a diet program focused on eating healthy, and then consider that a learning program until you can do it on your own and know how to make the right decisions.

ChristySmiles, I guess I didn't really express myself very clearly since I was busy ranting (LOL). I don't think that it's bad to follow a plan of have a certain structure in mind. It's the short-term limited diets that make me actually say "I'm on such-and-such diet" that I'm done with. I still think it's important to learn how to do things right and to stick to it long term.

As long as you know how to live a healthy life, then definitely doing that is way better than trying to stick to any diet program. BUt if you don't know how, then you likely will need some kind of plan to get you on the right track until you learn for yourself.
