  • Take pictures of yourself

If you photograph yourself along the way, you’ll get a better idea of how much you’ve lost on your diet. I weigh myself every week and take a picture of myself in the same shorts once every two weeks. There’s an actual difference! I never noticed it just by looking in the mirror.

I have to say that this is effective but these sure are pics nobody else will ever see haha

I've been trying this and although its' a good idea because I can see the difference, it's really hard on my self confidence because I can see how bad I look in the pictures. It's a lot easier when I don't have to actually face every bulge because I'm wearing clothing that looks better on me.

I started off taking weekly pics but the progress isn't enough to really show at that point. Monthly is way better.

I've been taking selfies in the mirror for the last two months and I have to say that it's really motivational. I didn't think I'd lost much weight in a visible way, even though I have had some pounds come off, and I can actually see the difference in the pictures. This really works!

I'm always impressed with people who post their progress on their facebook. I always feel really proud of them and yet I'd be too embarrassed to do it myself.

This really works. Don't forget to record the date with your pictures

How do you take a really good weight loss selfie? I can't seem to get the right angle or something.

I also found that when you're taking pictures of yourself if you can use a really good full length mirror then you have a better shot at a more honest photo than you will if you take a picture of yourself in a bathroom mirror or something else that just shows you from the waist up or the hips up. You really need a full length shot to know what you look like (or at least somewhat what you look like).
