If you photograph yourself along the way, you’ll get a better idea of how much you’ve lost on your diet. I weigh myself every week and take a picture of myself in the same shorts once every two weeks. There’s an actual difference! I never noticed it just by looking in the mirror.

I've been trying this and although its' a good idea because I can see the difference, it's really hard on my self confidence because I can see how bad I look in the pictures. It's a lot easier when I don't have to actually face every bulge because I'm wearing clothing that looks better on me.

I've been taking selfies in the mirror for the last two months and I have to say that it's really motivational. I didn't think I'd lost much weight in a visible way, even though I have had some pounds come off, and I can actually see the difference in the pictures. This really works!

I also found that when you're taking pictures of yourself if you can use a really good full length mirror then you have a better shot at a more honest photo than you will if you take a picture of yourself in a bathroom mirror or something else that just shows you from the waist up or the hips up. You really need a full length shot to know what you look like (or at least somewhat what you look like).
