  • Sencha & Matcha

What is the difference between Sencha Green Tea and Matcha Green Tea? Are they actually the same with two different names or is one actually better than the other? I'm trying to figure out which green tea is the best because that's the one I want to include in my diet.

If I'm not mistaken I think that Sencha is better. They are both made from the same leaves but they are prepared differently. I think that Sencha contains more antioxidants, catechins (or however you spell that lol) compared to matcha, but matcha has more caffeine so that might be better for weight loss.

I think matcha is the better one. I think it also tastes better than sencha. That said. I think both teas are pretty expensive, so unless you're interested in dropping a fortune on these products I would personally just stick with good old fashioned green tea.

Hmmm....I think I might try both and see which one I like better.

That's probably the best thing to do Paplo. That said, I personally don't think you're going to be impressed with either one of them to the point that you'll find they are that much better than just regular old green tea that doesn't cost a fortune.

So far I've tried matcha and while I don't mind it it is expensive and I'm not feeling like it's changing my life anymore than regular green tea...so I don't know if it's worth the price but I'm leaning toward no. I'm gonna finish what I have though and then move on to Sencha before I make any real decisions. Just thought I'd update everyone with my experience/progress.
