  • Does anyone know a good "meat"-loaf vegetarian recipe?

Does anyone know of a good meatless meat-loaf like recipe that I can make? I want something that reminds me of a meaty texture but naturally is lacking the animal factor. More than one recipe suggestion would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes! Actually I came across this one about a year ago and I love it. I make it about once a month. It contains tons of veggies and even toasted walnuts and cheese. If you're looking for a hearty non-meat recipe, definitely give this loaf a try!

Wow, Mike, that actually looks really delicious!

This is the one I've tried before. I was actually amazed that it tasted pretty good. Considering I'm a meat lover I wasn't thinking that I'd like any kind of veggie loaf, but my wife made it when her vegetarian sister came over and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. I hope other people post more recipes.

Also, if you're looking for good meatless recipes, you might want to check out meatless lasagnas as well as eggplant Parmesan. They're both really tasty haha.

These sound like some good recipes...but out of curiosity, why would you want to make a meatless meat loaf...I mean the whole point to a meat loaf is the meat...it's in the name. if you take the meat out, you have an entirely different kind of food...just saying.

I'm with bruceH on this one. I don't get why vegetarians seek a "meatless" version of something that actually has the word "meat" in its name. That makes about as much sense as someone wanting a veggie burger with bacon.

Uh, bruceh and Speeddemon, I don't quite get why you guys are having an issue with Nelly's question. She's simply asking for a loaf recipe that you would cook similar to meatloaf, she just wants a non-meat version...what's the problem with that exactly??

btw Nelly, I really like this vegetarin meatloaf recipe Veronica's Veggie Meatloaf with Checca Sauce Recipe : Giada De Laurentiis : Food Network It's made with lentils :)

I agree with Maggie. Also, in case you guys are new to the vegetarian world. The term "meatless" is used a lot for products or recipes to quickly draw attention to the fact that something that would or may typically contain meat, doesn't contain it. Right away, when you read the word "meatless" you know it's vegetarian-friendly.
