I've made a command decision that I want to include more vegetarian style meals into my diet. That said, I know that simply because you're not eating meat, this doesn't mean that you're suddenly making healthy choices. What are some vegetarian high-fat and bad for you foods I should avoid that most people wouldn't think would be unhealthy for you or wouldn't contribute to your weight gain.

If you're going to be a lacto-ovo vegetarian (a vegetarian who still eats eggs and dairy) obviously there are a lot of high fat dairy foods that you'll need to be careful not to gorge on. On the other hand, even if you don't eat diary anymore, take care not to fry too many foods in oil, as this can add on a lot of fat. Equally, while not a bad food for you, avacado's are high in fat, so you should limit your intake of those. And of course, watch your junk food, like chips, crackers, peanuts, cakes, cookies, etc.

Beyond all the obvious bad stuff like baked treats, chips, cookies, etc., Nuts, olive oil and pretty much any oil, avocados, chia seeds, dark chocolate, and full fat dairy are just some of the good for you but high-fat foods that I can think of off the top of my head. Since, those are all healthy fats, it's not that you shouldn't include them in your diet, but you will want to watch how much of them you're eating if your goal is to lose weight and/or not gain weight.
