I know this is a strange thing to ask, but I'm wondering if the bread you buy in the store is Vegan. I mean it should be, right? It is made from grains and plants and things. My friend told me that it isn't always Vegan though I found that confusing.

Agreed. Most bread is vegetarian. Getting vegan bread takes a little more research, depending on how serious you take your veagnism, that is.Originally posted by treehuggertodd View PostIt can be. That said, you shouldn't just assume that any bread you buy is vegan. In order for something to be vegan, it's not just about not being made with animal ingredients (eg. dairy, butter, etc), but also not in facilities that also process animal products.

Geeze. I had no idea that there could even be bread that wasn't vegan. I mean I know cheese bread wouldn't be obviously, but just run of the mill boring old bread? Wow, it really makes you wonder how the stuff we eat is processed and where it is processed.
