I would like to try being vegan. I'm not a huge fan of meat and I eat very little of it as it is. I know that being Vegan means more than giving up meat, but the more I've read about this diet, the more I feel like it could be the right fit for my life. That said, is being vegan a lot harder than is advertised? Will I miss a lot of foods or feel hungry all the time?

It's harder than you think. Veganism is a way of life. Even with your diet, it's cutting out dairy, eggs, as well as avoiding any other foods that may have been made or processed in facilities that make things using meat or animal products as well as avoiding things that contain gelatin and or use red dyes from bugs.

Hey anne, I'd recommend that you talk to someone who is Vegan and ask them your questions and maybe even ask them what their daily diet looks like and see if this is something that you can mimic. In my experience, the best way to improve understanding is to talk to people who have experienced what I want to know and who understand it. Getting opinions from non-vegans probably won't do much to help you with you wanting to make an informed decision.

That's actually really good advice. You could probably learn a lot and get lots of your questions answered from someone who follows and adheres to the lifestyle. In my experience, when I've asked others about things they have had experience with that I wanted to try, I got a lot of great tips and I learned about other things that are typically talked about or that most people who don't have the experience wouldn't know. :) Of course, just make sure the person you ask wants to talk to you about it. Don't just assume any Vegan you meet will want to be your teacher LOL
