Um...it would honestly depend on how many calories you ingest in a day. Many people make the mistake of thinking that if you eat vegan that this automatically translates to being healthy or weight loss. There's still plenty of stuff you can eat (including stuff that's god for you) that can lead to you packing on the pounds.

Beth is right, a lot of healthy plant-based oils like avocado, olive, canola, coconut, etc. are good for you and vegan friendly but if you eat too much of it (and trust me it's easy to eat too much of it) this can lead to weight gain. Cutting out meat, dairy and all animal products doesn't mean instant weight loss. It can REALLY help, but you do need to know what you're doing. That said, if you do do it right and watch your calories, it can be easier to lose by following a vegan diet and you should be able to lose between 1 to 2 pounds a week if you're being healthy about your weight loss.

For instance, don't eat a salad for dinner and expect to be satisfied for the next several hours you need to add a bit of healthy fat and protein in the mix to sustain you, such as beans and a bit of avocado, etc. If you're really not sure what you should be eating, I recommend talking to a dietitian who specializes in Vegan living/eating. :)
