Why does hair loss a risk if you become a vegan or vegetarian and how you avoid this risk?

Um, I think it has to do with not getting enough of the right nutrients, like protein. When you cut meat out of your diet, you need to replace the nutrients you were getting from these foods with alternative plant-based ones. It's not as easy as you might think if you don't know what you're doing. I'd recommend seeing a dietitian who is familiar with vegan/vegetarian diets if this is a lifestyle you want to adopt and you are worried about things like hair loss.

While you can lose your hair going vegan or vegetarian due to a serious lack of protein, you'd really have to not know what you're doing. Essentially, if you are going to be cutting meat, including animal by products like dairy, out of your diet, you should find out what protein and other nutrients these foods have in them and make sure you replace them with alternatives.
