  • Easiest way to make a smoothie?

Is there an easy way to make smoothies that take less time and can I store them so I don't have to make them every day? I think this is the best way for me to get the fruits and vegetables I need because I don't typically like cooking them with my meals.

They are easy to make and they are a great way to get the nutrients you need. The good thing about a smoothie is that you don't lose any of the nutrition because you've blended it all up. I would suggest either using a blender or if you want super-easy smoothie making, get a magic bullet, nutribullet or ninja.

Thanks for the suggestions Anne. I don't really want to buy one of those magic bullet devices and I find that my own blender is a pain to clean. Is there a way to make a smoothie without using these devices?

You really do need a machine to make a smoothie. Even if you don't want to use one of those gadgets, you'll need some kind of blunder unless you want to cruse everything by hand with a potato masher or something, but that would take a lot of time and effort, which is something that I don't think you want to do. I would recommend just making a bunch of smoothies in advance. You can always freeze what you make.

Yeah I guess you're right Penny. There really isn't any other way around it. I've decided to stop being so anti-mini blender and I'm going to ask for one for Christmas. I think I'll take your advice and make a bunch in advance though. That does sound way easier.

Did you ever get a blender Mike? If so, how did it work out for you and have you found making smoothies easier? I've always started getting into the habit of making smoothies and I find the Magic Bullet works just fine for me. The only downside is that it's not really powerful enough to cut stuff through foods that are ultra-frozen. Like, it can't really crush ice, if you know what I mean
