  • Low-fat but tasty Christmas treats

Okay, I'm going to start my baking for Christmas soon. What can I make that is low in fat but is still flavorful? Any ideas are welcome, no matter how creative haha. I want to serve something fun and delicious.

Thanks in advance for your help guys, I can't wait to see what you suggest :D

Try chocolate fruit and nut clusters. My wife made them last year when she was dieting and they were awesome. We liked them so much she's going to make them again this year. Here's the recipe Chocolate, Fruit, and Nut Clusters Recipe - Health.com

This year I'm going to be making Poached pears in spiced tea. I wanted to try something different and low-fat myself and came across this recipe. It looks so good and very festive! It seems pretty simple to do and if you've got any vegetarians in the family it'll be great for them too :D You can find the recipe here: Poached pears in spiced tea | BBC Good Food

Oven baked apples with sugar and cinnamon. This is super simple to do and very tasty. Just core an apple, leave the skin on, and sprinkle the desired amount of sugar or cinnamon that you want over and in its center and bake on a cookie sheet in the oven for 10 - 20 minutes at 250 degrees. It's fast, simple and yummy!

This is a super simple suggestion, but if you're looking for something sweet to serve, even if only for a snack, don't forget about jellybeans. There are festive colors out this time of year and they are super low in fat and calories. Also, for something simple after dinner, sever some tropical fruit. It will taste great after a heavy meal!

          Merry Christmas!

A personal fat-free treat of mine is Chocolate Peppermint Meringue Cookies. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and they are both sweet and minty. They also look pretty cool when they're on the plate haha! You can find the recipe and other low-fat baking ideas for Christmas here: Fat Free Chocolate Peppermint Meringue Cookies

Thanks so much for all these great recipes. I looked into them all and I made two of them this year, but will save the rest for next year. I was really happy with the ones I did make. I did the chocolate fruit nut clusters and poached pears in spiced tea - YUM!
