  • Real person smoothie recipes please

I’m getting into smoothies but I’d like some that are easy to make and that have ingredients that I’d actually have in my fridge or that are really easy to get and use properly. Any suggestions?

after a workout the best thing I love is just a half cup of strong coffee and a cup of chocolate milk blended until it is frothy. Great for protein and energy.

      1c milk

      1/2 cup 1% or 2% plain yogurt

1c of your favorite berries. Blueberries and strawberries work good. Raspberries ahve a lot of seeds.

You can also "spike" a normal smoothie, like one with milk, yogurt, and berries, with a few added bonuses for a hint of extra nutrition. Like throw in a slice or two of canned beet (not pickled, just canned). Or toss in a few leaves of spinach or kale. As long as you just put a little bit, you can't even taste it but it really adds nutritional value.

Thanks for this. I use it a lot with blueberries, cherries, and even kiwi!
