I know that some people can't drink milk because they are lactose intolerant, but is milk actually bad for you anyway? My friend says that it is an inflammatory and causes you more harm than good. While I don't think she's a liar or anything, I also know that she really doesn't like the taste of milk, so I think how she feels is based on opinion more than fact. I'm looking for facts. What do you guys know?

No I don't think it's bad for you. I think it's high in fat (especially the ones that are 2% or higher) but I don't think it's bad for you. Essentially, as long as you don't have an allergy and you drink it in moderation, you can enjoy it like many other beverages. It's just not as super-healthy as was once believed.

No it's actually a good source of calcium. I know a lot of people don't like milk and I agree that it's not essential to your diet. At the same time, if you can tolerate it and enjoy it, having it as part of your daily diet (in moderation) isn't a bad thing either. Like anything, it's all about how much you drink and knowing what you're putting in your body.

Okay I'm glad to hear all your opinions. speeddemon thanks for being so blunt LOL. That's pretty much what I thought was the case, I just get so confused sometimes because every time you turn around some new expert has an opinion about what to eat and what not to eat and what's healthy and what's not health and blah blah blah...
