  • Best breakfast smoothie

I suck at eating breakfast in the morning and I tend to skip out on it. I know I shouldn't but I'm often running late and I don't feel hungry when I first get up. I'm going to start making smoothies. What are some great ones that are nutritious and will give a good start to my day. I want something with good fiber and protein. All suggestions welcome! Thanks :D

Combine some fruits and veggies with chia seeds. This will give you fiber and protein, which can help give you energy and keep you full. I know some people add raw eggs to smoothies as well, to help them with the whole protein things. There's lots of ways to make a breakfast smoothie. I"d also recommend making them the night before so you can just grab it and go in the morning without worrying about having to waste time making it.

I don't think it's a good idea to add raw eggs to a smoothie. I mean, they can have salmonella and that could make you sick. That said, you can add just about any fruits and vegetables you like to a smoothie, and chia seeds are great too. Just make sure if you add chia seeds that you make the smoothie iin advance, because you're going to want to give them enough time to become softer.

I also agree that adding eggs to your smoothie isn't the best idea due to the salmonella issue. I mean, there's probably a good chance that you'll be fine, but on the off chance that you're not, it's really not worth the risk. There's lots of ways to add protein to your smoothie. I would recommend getting a protein powder, as this is easiest. You should be able to find these in health stores.

Try a banana oatmeal smoothie with blueberries and almond milk....YUM! It's easy to make, tastes great and will fill you up!
