I know that bread is high in carbs and that I’m not supposed to stuff myself with it because it will slow down my weight loss but I’m going to eat bread anyway, so I’m hoping that I can at least choose the right one.

What’s the best diet friendly bread? Corn bread? Whole wheat? Ancient grain? Flax? There are so many options I don’t even know where to start. If there is a best one, does anyone have a recipe for it so I can try making it from home so I’ll know exactly what’s in it? THANKS!

I personally like to make bread that is made up of a number of whole grain flours. I also throw in some ground up flax seeds to help to boost the nutrition in the bread. it adds a bit of nuttiness to the flavor of it, too.

I have found that in terms of flavor, it works out best if you still work in some white flour - especially if you're using a bread maker. But if you are looking to make it strictly for health, try to mix it up a bit. Instead of making the same one every few days, get experimental. Then you'll learn a few that you really like and you'll get more variety out of it.

I like flax bread. Jus tmake sure that it's made with flax flour with the ground seeds, and not just with the whole seeds. the body can't digest the seeds whole, so they'll pass right through you unless they're ground

I like breads with ancient grains like quinoa in them. That way, I get all the benefits from the fiber and all those nutrients, but there's also a lot of proteins to go with it, which makes it more filling and a great healthy diet option.

I personally like a flax bread from my local bakery that uses molasses instead of sugar

How does corn bread stand up against the rest of them?
