Hi All. I tried a breakfast smoothie the other morning and loved it. Does anyone have any low-fat smoothie recipes? Vegetable or fruit smoothies are great, or whatever else you've come up with. High protein smoothies too, if you know of any.
Well, by now you've probably figured out a bunch of recipes for smoothies. I love making a smoothie in the morning - it is so simple, good and filling. Recently I've been experimenting with carrot juice smoothies made with soft tofu. This is a powerful blast of nutrients and protein to get me through to lunch.
1 1/2 cups carrot juice
2 tbsp frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup orange juice
1 300g package soft tofu
1 grated carrot
Throw the lot in a blender and enjoy.
Of course, smoothies are great cause they can be made with about anything. Ones with yogurt and fruit with milk to slosh everything up are my favorites. Add a little honey to sweeten it if you like.
Wow! thanks for this healthy and yummy recipe! Im glad that I don't have to relinquish every delicious food when I go on a diet. I am new in this weight loss forum and I am reading every thread here to know your diet tips. Currently, I am not taking any diet pills and my meal plan is simple: eat less. However, there are times when I just cannot resist food (or drinks!) and i would feel guilty after my over indulgence.
I'm glad I can still enjoy my favorite smoothies without feeling any bit guilty. I cannot give you any recipe for now but I promise to post one soon. Nut for now, I think Im gonna try this carrot smoothie. chiao! be back later guys!
I try not to follow complicated recipes. Every morning, I like berry smoothies. A couple of berries and strawberries, crushed ice and a dash of low fat milk. That's it. And oh, top it off with healthy nuts and you're good to go.
