Does it make a big difference to your diet whether you eat dark meat or white meat from a turkey, in terms of nutrition and dieting?

Yes. the dark meat is fattier. Since you'll likely have a lot of fats in all the other foods you'll eat over the holidays, you'll want to cut it out whenever you can. So if you like white meat, go for that one.

Yup the white meat is leaner. Actually turkey breast & chicken breast are great options for a high protein/low fat meat. (Just don't eat the skin. )

Good tip about not eating the skin. That's where the highest fat (and the worst temptation) is!
