  • Will goji berries help weight loss?

    I was at the market the other day and saw they were selling bags of dried goji berries. The bag said that you could eat them dried or reconstitute them in water or add them to cooking/baking.

    I have heard of goji berries mentioned for weight loss. Do they have any weight loss benefits really?

    Has anyone tried them. I was wanting to buy a bag, but I didn't know if they are good to eat or not. What do they taste like?

    I have not really tried goji berries yet but I have a friend who recommends them.Goji berries are said to have nutrients that has the ability to convert food into energy rather than storing it in your body as fats. In addition it is also a great way to control your appetite and blood sugar since it contains chromium, a mineral that levels down blood sugar. although goji berries are sweet, they are healthy and nutritious and can make you feel "fuller" for a long period of time.

    Goji berries are also high in fiber according to one journal that I have read. It is a muscle burner and can help prevent weight gain because of its energy converting ability. I hope this helps.I recommend that you try one of those, if you do not like it you can always throw it away anyway. I think I'll be buying one bag next week since Im running out of stock in the fridge. Tell me about your reviews on goji berries once you tried one OK. thanks

      I want to try it too, let me know if you have tried some. I heard that its nutritious and that it has so many health benefits. anyway, this is how a good goji berries look like, do not buy those who are rotten as it can only cause bad effects to the body especially when you have sensitive stomach



      Goji berries are said to increase stamina and metabolism which makes losing weight more faster.I think Ill buy some this weekend. Ill tell you when its good or not.

        High in fiber is good for weight loss - that I know. I'm not sure how controlling blood sugar helps one lose weight, but I have read that a number of times before.

        I might buy a bag too. Let's compare notes on the taste. Thanks for all the great info.

          I have bought Goji berries in the market last week and I have eaten everything before the weekend so I needed another pack. It tastes kinda sweet, a typical berry but I noticed that I easily get full as compared to eating other berries. Here's what I do: I eat a relatively small but healthy meal and try to eat berries as dessert instead of high caloric cakes which I absolutely adore. Anyway, it indeed has the ability to satisfy my sweet tooth so I think I'll be munching more goji berries especially this season when I really really need to control myself from eating too much sweets.

          As for the health benefits of goji berries, I can never tell this early because I have just started eating it last week. I still need more time to monitor my sugar and blood pressure, etc. I'll let you know if it is indeed beneficial for people trying to lose weight.
