    With the whole virus scare that's happening right now, what are some great things to put in my diet that can really help me amp up my immune system?

    Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetable, stay hydrated, exercise (e.g. take walks) and get proper rest. Essentially, avoid junky foods and putting your body in circumstances that cause stress.

      I would also add that it's a really good idea to keep your hands washed and your home clean. The fewer germs you introduce to your immune system the better it will be as well.

        YES!!! I've been increasing the number of smoothies I'm eating. I've been making sure to boost immunity with fruits and veggies!! They're the best. Also, drink lots of water and get sleep!

          I was gonna say that, too. Stay hydrated and get proper rest. The more you can reduce stress and stay away form unhealthy habits and foods, the better your immune system will be. Staying away from alcohol is also a good idea if you are worried about your immune system.

            Staying away from alcohol is really a good idea, also a lot of foods with high sugar. These types of foods and beverages may be fun to drink at the time, but they're virtually poison to your body and they will work against your immune system. Plus, they also tend to increase the chances for mood swings and depression. Make healthy choices and your body will reap the benefits.

              I agree with what everyone says. The only thing I'd add is to make sure that you do allow yourself some treats, even if they aren't the best for your body. The reason is that it's not just your physical wellbeing that is important, but your mental wellbeing too. Avoiding over-stressing and depression and that can help you stay healthy too.

                Thanks! Those are all great ideas guys. I know that sleep is important, but I have to admit that I've been struggling with getting a good sleep and it's worrying me. I'm just gonna try to stick to eating well and drinking water and hope that helps to calm my worries...

                  Maybe also try doing some yoga or meditation. This could also help to ease your mind.
