I just read that Avocado is considered to be a source of dietary fat more than it is considered a fruit. I know that it's good fat, but does this mean I should really watch how much of it I eat? I know it's high in calories but I didn't realize it was so high in fat. I imagine that even good fat can be bad if you eat too much of it. So, I guess what I'm asking is how much is too much haha

If you want to eat avocado every day, I would recommend eating only half and factor it in to the rest of healthy fats that you consume. Remember, olive oil, coconut oil and other good-for-you oils are high in fat and you only need so much day. So, if you want to eat an avocado daily, be smart about it and remember to make sure you count it toward your total amount of daily fat so that it doesn't affect your waistline.

Thanks Gina that helps! I'll keep this in mind. I do really like avocado. I'll try to save half from now on, although between you and me I haven't yet found a method of saving it that I like. I've tried both the lemon and onion method, but I find the avocado takes on these flavors and I don't like it, especially because a lot of the time I actually enjoy eating avocado plain. It only doesn't bother me when I use it as guacamole. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts on this :)

Personally I think avocado is gross so any avocado is too much avocado in my opinion That said, how much you should eat depends on your overall daily fat intake. If you want to eat an avocado or half an avocado remember that it is high in fat so you need to remember this when you make other food choices (including using cooking oils) for the rest of the day.
