I am getting a lot of conflicting information about nuts like almonds and walnuts. They’re very high in fat but I also hear they’re good for weight loss. What’s the truth?

I think it depends on the type of nut that you choose. I'm pretty sure that peanuts are not as good for you as other types, which sucks because they're way cheaper and I love the taste of them.
Almonds are awesome because yes, they're high in fat, but they're good fats. They also have zero cholesterol for people who are looking for something good and healthy.
They are a good snakc if you eat about a handful of them. Around 10 or 12 I think. They fill you up, they give you something to chew on for a bit, and they give you proteins and weight loss healthy nutrients.
Walnuts are good for your heart, but I don't know about the weight loss thing.

Healthy nuts in small amounts are definitely good for you. They are also really great for weight loss as long as you don't eat too many of them.
Never eat more than will fit in the palm of your hand and you should be just fine. I find that a great way to eat them is to get them still in the shell. As much as that may seem like a pain, that's the point! If you take 10 almonds in the shell it will look like a lot more than 10 almonds that are already shelled. Also, with all of the time and effort of cracking the shells and getting the nut out, it will seem like you're eating for a lot longer. Overall, it's a great snack for keeping your hands busy and taking a long time to eat :)
