    Just how good is this berry for you? I doubt it'll help you lose weight, but I'm curious if it's healthy enough that you should go out of your way to supplement with it. Is there any scientific evidence that proves any of the claims that it's a super-antioxidant?

    It is a super antioxidant, but there is no proof at all that it will help with weight loss. That is a total myth! So, go ahead and take acai berry if you want antoixidant support, but if you're hoping that it's going to somehow help you shed fat, I'd recommended giving up on that dream!

      Honestly, think of acai berry in the same way you would think of a strawberry, blueberry or raspberry. Yes, it's good for you and it's got some antioxidants, but do you honestly think eating a blueberry is going to lead to weight loss? No, of course not. So, an acai berry isn't going to do it either.

        Thanks Nelly. I guess this really is the best way to think about it. I really wish companies would stop promoting this berry as if it's going to actually change your life in some way. I mean, if you listen to the claims, it really does sound like it's going to help you burn more fat. I'm so tired of all the false and unsubstantiated claims out there about "natural" foods, herbs and other substances

          It's definitely a fantastic antioxidant but fantastic antioxidants aren't exactly miracle workers for health or weight loss. They're good for you, but that's about it. There's a lot of hype and zero substance with a lot of these products, unfortunately.

            It's good for you, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it either. There are tons of berries that are good for you.
