  • 3 steps to weight loss

    1) You have to want to lose weight and you alone have to do it. So don’t look to anybody but yourself to make it happen.
    2) Exercise is non-negotiable. Move it!
    3) You have to balance your eating habit with exercise. Eat less and exercise more!

    I agree with step 1. However, Step 2 and 3 bother me.

    Step 2 bothers me because while exercise is good for cardiovascular and muscle development, it really isn't good for weight loss. Why? When you exercise, you become hungry. This defeats trying to eat less. As well, picking up two new habits at one time is unreasonable. Pick one or the other to go with first. Exercise, or eating well. Don't try to do both at once. It is a recipe for failure, especially for those who really do want to lose weight.
    As for drugs.. I would never trust what someone tells me from a site that sells drugs on whether or not the drugs are actually helpful. If you want an opinion, ask a real doctor.

      Hi,

      One simple guideline for losing weight is to adjust your daily caloric intake to equal ten times your weight in pounds. For instance if you weigh 180 lbs. your total daily food intake should equal 1800 calories. This would create a sufficient deficit in calories for gradual weight loss.

        Simple Calorie Calculation

        I've never heard of just using your weight like this to estimate your daily calories, but it's not too bad. I think it may not work as well for some people like myself (short and wide) because it doesn't take into consideration height, but all 'n all if someone's looking for simple way to calculate daily calorie needs then this is one place to start. Thanks for the tip.

            You never really have to do massive exercise if you already are eating properly. Eating properly and maintaining healthy lifestyle can prevent you from gaining weight.

                  when you are overweight exercise can be daunting. i remember feeling that way when i first started exercising after many years of doing very little physical activity. the thing is that the more you exercise the better you feel and the more energy you get. so instead of dreading exercise, embrace it as a natural way to feel better, be more energized and even look better. yay, exercise! :)

                    Definitely EXERCISE. If we move a lot we sweat out all the excess calories. If you wanna eat more you gotta sweat more.

                        I disagree Abner, Protein is very important for your body. Fat is not but you can get lots of protein from boiled chicken which is low in fat and high in protein. Avoid fat, eat small amounts of carbs, plenty of fresh fruits and veg, and get in that protein! If you are a vegetarian eat beans instead of meat. What is your goals?

                            Diet Plans Never Work...Eating Smart Does !!

                            Stop thinking and planning a diet chart, rather spent time choosing food regimes, the healthy way.

                            Basically, there are very few people who have actually succeeded by planing out a diet. So, the best way is to eat what is healthy for your body and skin. For instance, choose whole fruit instead of fruit juices, eat brown bread instead of the plain ones. eat brown rice instead of the polished one, eat vegetable soups instead of soupy noodles, eat baked foods instead of fried.

                            I say this because there's nothing called a perfect weight loss plan, as what may have worked for someone may not necessarily work for you.

                            If at all, you cannot resist the temptation of a food in front of you, take a small helping and think there's no more. Take time to eat it since your palate will never feel content. This way you can at least feel great at the end of the day by thinking that you could actually resist a bit of the temptation. This will make you feel good and happy.

                            Keep trying, there's nothing we cannot achieve success in.

                              I find that writing down what I have eaten and sometimes a plan for the day is most beneficial. It helps me to keep track of things and I also then work out the total of calories for the day.

                              Everybody has their own way that suits them....
