    What are the right steps for choosing a diet program? I mean, if you’re starting from scratch and you really don’t know what to get, how do you narrow down the options from the hundreds that you can find in book stores and online?

    Is there a kind of step by step process that you can follow so that you can zoom in on a few and then make the final decision or is it pretty much all trial and error?

    The first and most important step is to know exactly what your goal is and how you want to go about doing that. I mean, do you want to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time, or focus on being as healthy as possible? Are you willing to change both eating and exercise? Know what you're willing to do

      Be sure to ask around with your friends when you're considering a specific diet. I find that the people I knwo can provide a surprising amount of insight about diets. So many people have tried more than one thing so you can get some good feedback

        In my opinion you should just go straight to something like weight watchers because they have everything in place already and all you need to do is follow the rules.

          Your doctor really is the best place to go if you want to talk about the best ways for you to diet based on what you want from it, what you're willing to do, and what is safe and appropriate for you with your health level and fitness level kept in mind.

            I find that one of the best ways to lose weight is simply to cut down on the amount of meat being eaten. If you look into a vegetarian program or even a vegan one, you'll likely find that you drop the weight the fastest.
