    I’d just like to say that one of the best weight loss resources that I have is my feet because since I started walking to places that are within a mile or two, I’ve been finding weight loss a whole lot easier than it ever was.

    LOL that's a funny title. I didn't realize that you actually meant it literally. I thought you were joking that you should use your head, but you were being funny with your wording. You're right. The more you can add walking to your normal routine, the more calories you anturally burn and you build up your fitness a bit at a time, too.

      I started doing that about halfway through the summer, too. I actually didn't realize how close some places are to me when I take shortcuts. It feels great to get out and walk. I found that if you bring a buggy if you're doing a lot of shopping or a backpack for a little, it doesn't seem as daunting to have to carry bags.

      The real test will be whether or not I keep it up through the winter!

        Walking is one of the best all time exercises. The more you can work it into your life, the more you'll naturally lose weight. It's also great because it doesn't force you to feel starving afterward like a lot of other types of exercise. If you try to do one good long brisk walk every day - maybe a half hour - and then lots of smaller brisk walks, then you'll be doing yourself a lot of good. I try to walk around the house while I'm talking on the phone with friends.

          I actually enjoy walking a lot. When i walk to a store i can avoid all of the mess in dealing with the parking lot and i can just walk right by everybody and their miserable faces and head on home with my purchases.

          I find that it puts me in a better mood and I am able to get fit at the same time Walking really is the best way to do it. I have also discovered that I notice a lot more about my neighborhood and am becoming familiar with the people who live around me like i never did when i was only driving.

            This even works inside the house. For example, instead of bringing yourself a giant glass of water, use a smaller one. That way, you have to get up more often to fill it - a few more steps at a time!
