I’ve heard that the order that you eat the food on your plate matters. I’d guess that you eat the protein and fats first because they take the longest to digest and that will mean that the fat is in your stomach to take in the fat soluble vitamins from the veggies at the end of the meal. Is that the right order?

The order in which you eat depends on your goal. If you eat the slowest stuff to digest first, you might stay fuller longer, but remember that this leaves the faster digested stuff on top - with nowhere to go you could end up with gas and bad breath!

Come to think of it, if I eat the thing I like first, then I won't be as likely to clean my plate, which could be very good for losing weight! So I think the order should be to eat your dinner in reverse order of what you like the most and, if it's a toss up, then choose the one that is healthier and has the lower calories.
