In our society, we tend to eat a small breakfast, a larger lunch, and then a big dinner. If we flip it around, so that we are eating a big breakfast, regular size lunch, and then a small dinner we would lose weight easier. This is because we would have fed our bodies with a lot of good food/fuel early in the day and this would keep us fuller longer through out the day. Usually when you just have a tiny breakfast you are hungry very quickly and then tend to over eat. ALso eating more earlier in the day helps ensure that your body burns most if it off. Doesn't make a lot of sense to fill your body with a huge dinner and then just go to bed after you have put all this fuel into it.

That's a very good idea! I bet your balance is probably the best way to do it. I do struggle to eat breakfast in the morning (not a morning person) but I do manage to get a regular sized one in. I try to make my lunch the big meal instead of my dinner, because I just can't eat a large breakfast without stomach upset. If you can do it your way, though, I really think you're right about the best results!

I find that the more I eat at breakfast, the more I'm hungry throughout the rest of the day. If I eat a light breakfast, I'm hungry at lunchtime, and starving by dinner. But if I eat a huge breakfast, I'm starving by lunchtime and still starving by dinner. It's like it moves the "starving" feeling to an earlier point in the day.

Maybe it is also becuse early in the morning u work, or you have some things to do and you don't feel (think) that you are hungry. Then in the evening you have more free time , and everyone have a tendency to snack (at the front of the telly or computer usually) and thats why you think you need big dinner

This sounds good, but it looks like it's something that has to be built into a habit to really see if it's working. I'm going to give this a try for two weeks. I'll assume the first week will be getting the hang of it and the second week will tell me if it's actually starting to work for me.
That's the way to do it, I think. You can't decide if this works over two days. You need to wait until you can build it into your life. That means living it.

I know a lot of them eat a large lunch instead of a large supper. Is there any culture in the world that has learned to do it right? You could be starting a food revolution, Lydiapurple LOL

This is a good idea! You can also watch what kinds of foods you eat at different points in the day. For example, you should make breakfast the meal with the most carbs in it because you're most likely to be active at that point as you get ready in the morning and head off to work, then proteins are good for your lunch and dinner because they're slower-release energy and will keep snacking under control and will help stop those nighttime cravings.

Do you know if there is a society where they already do practice the order where they eat meals from big to small throughout the day?
They say eggs are good thing to eat early on in the day. Gives you lots of fuel for the day and they keep you full for a long time.

I heard quinoa is also very good for you in the morning because it's so high in fiber and protein so that it keeps you full for a long time, too. Toss in a few blueberries for flavor and antioxidants and it becomes a very healthy start to the day!
