  • How can I measure my muscle to fat ratio

I want to improve my muscle but I don't know how to track when I actually have more muscle than fat. Is there any easy way to do this?

Body circumference measurements or skinfold clippers can help you measure fat. Think about it this way, typically you can squish fat between your fingers, muscle isn't squishy.

It's not really easy to measure your muscle percentage on your own. You need expensive equipment to figure that one like an MRI machine. Therefore, the best thing to do is to measure your fat percentage. The easiest way to measure body fat is with a body fat scale. However, if you don't have one of those the most convenient (and cheapest) option would be a tape measure. You need to measure the circumference of your neck, natural waist and hips at their widest parts. For best results (as this test is often not accurate due to a number of variables) measure yourself first thing in the morning without clothing obstructing the parts you are measuring. Do not pull the tape taught and compress the skin. The point is to take a realistic measurement, not try to make yourself as slim as possible. It may also be best to have someone measure you. Essentially, you should take all measurements twice and average them, then record to the nearest half inch and then find a corresponding body fat percentage chart. You can also record your fat percentage with calipers as penny recommended.

I would honestly just start working out and be consistent about it. As you lose weight and cut some fat out of your diet, you'll likely notice a difference.

Are there any specific workouts I should do to speed up the process and make sure I'm burning the right fat. It's the visceral fat that scares me the most.

There are a lot of good calculators online that can do the work for you after you just measure parts of you with a measuring tape and give your weight and height.

A doctor or physical trainer is best. Some scales will do it automatically and they're not super accurate, but it's enough to give you a good idea! I didn't even know htat until I read this :https://cake2go.com/i-tested-3-bathr...e-weight-loss/
