When I remind myself that being overweight causes a lot of side effects that I hate, it motivates me to keep going to lose weight. I hate that I get overheated easily and that I am exhausted too quickly when I’m exercising. That pushes me to get past it! Share yours!

Just being overweight in any form can put you at risk of so many side effects that it is really frustrating. It doesn't take obesity to start these symptoms up. As soon as I started being overweight, I could tell because my knees and back started aching when I did anything active. Walking became more painful, so I did it less, and then I gained more weight, so it hurt more to walk, so I did it less, and so on.
It really makes it a lot more difficult to stay healthy as soon as you're carrying any more weight than you should. It's why it's easier for slimmer people to lose weight in a lot of situations (Yes, I get that this isn't the same for everyone).

I think that one of the worst things about being quite overweight is that my body doesn't seem to be the same temperature as everyone else's. I find that I get overheated very easily when everyone else seems to be very comfortable with the temperature where we are. Also, I find that after I eat I get overheated very easily. That makes it very uncomfortable and it's embarrassing, especially when I'm eating out. I don't like it when I'm trying to look good but I end up with sweat on my face and body!

What I don't like about all of the extra weight is that it makes it so hard to exercise. They say that all you need to do is exercise and eat right to lose weight, and while I can stand being hungry most of the time, exercising is not the same when you're heavy as it is when you're slim.
It frustrates me that I can't do very much and that if I really try to push myself, I get hurt. I want to burn calories and power walk or jog, but it's such a gradual process to build up the fitness to do it that it feels like nothing is getting done. I try to do as much as I can but I'm constantly pulling muscles or hurting my knees or ankles or hips or back etc. That's what I hate most about being heavy, even beyond feeling ugly.
