If I lose weight, will my joints actually start to feel better? What I mean is, will my joint pain go away in my knees and back if I put myself in a health BMI range?

I think there is a very good chance that it will improve, but I wouldn't bet on it going away entirely. Joint pain can definitely be made worse by weight, but a lot of the times it exists because of damage or an injury. On top of losing weight, I would also recommend getting it checked out by a doctor.

I think they'll definitely feel better but if you've got a lot of damage or if the pain is the result of arthritis, you'll need more than weight loss ease the pain you're feeling. If it's really bothersome, I'd talk to your doctor to find out what exercises you should be doing, if you should be taking medication, going to physio, etc.
