  • Good weight loss snacks tips

I think my biggest struggle for dieting is being able to snack properly. It doesn’t matter what diet I’m on, if I can’t have a snack in the afternoon and in the evening, I won’t be able to keep it up. I’ll fail at it before I reach my goal. So I’ve decided to stop trying to fight my need to snack and just do it right. But I need some ideas for great snacks. I’ll share mine, too.

For example, I like creating a huge mix of vegetables that are cut up and I dip them in a low fat cucumber dip (because it doesn’t leave my mouth tasting like garbage afterward like Ranch does). I like baby carrots cut in half, snow peas or sugar snaps, bell pepper of any color, mushrooms, broccoli, and grape/cherry tomatoes. I prepare it two days at a time, so that I can just grab it out of the fridge.

Sweet potato fries. Bake them instead of frying them and it's actually really good. They don't get a crunch on them like regular potato fries do but they taste great and you can still eat them in the same way. Just be careful what dipping sauce you use or you'll add a lot of calories. Also, watch them in the oven carefully because they burn fast.

I love sharing these kinds of tips because they're something everybody can use and I always end up finding one or two that I hadn't though of before.

One tip that I really like is to make your own salsa. If you just throw some fresh veggies, herbs, and spices together, you'll get a way lower cal and lower sodium result than you would from the store bought stuff, and it tastes a million times better. choose baked chips or, for fun, just toss a couple of whole grain tortillas under the broiler until they're crispy, and just break them up and dip them.

while you're snacking, make sure that you're drinking copious amounts of water. This will not only help to fill you up more, but it will also help you to digest the nutrients in the food that you do actually eat. That way, you'll get more out of it. Remember that when your body is running better, you lose weight faster!

Here's the best dip you'll ever have for your fresh veggies. It tastes like something rich and creamy and that should be high in fat and salt, but it's really not! Get a low fat or no fat plain yogurt and add some fresh or dried dill, some dried onion flakes, and a squeeze of lemon. Mix that up and let it sit for at least a half hour in the fridge so that all the flavors can be absorbed and to give the onion flakes the chance to hydrate. Then, eat it with whatever chopped up veggies you like the most. It's amazingly good. I like it more than the dips I used to buy pre-made in the stores!

Don't forget portion control is important with snacking. Even if you pick very good, healthy, low cal snacks, if you eat a barrel full, you'll still overwhelm your diet and set yourself back.

If you portion it out into the amount that you want to eat, instead of sitting a gigantic amount next to yourself and simply eating until you don't want anymore, you'll keep yourself on track much more effectively.

If you choose vegetables, especially leafy greens, you can practically eat as many as you want without ever having to worry about calories!

I agree, just be careful what you use as a dip or anything like that. If you're eating them plain, then you really shouldn't have a problem with carloreis if you're just eating regular vegetables. But if you start cracking into other products, then you need to start paying attention. If you do have to eat a dip with your veggies, then at least make it yourself so that you know exactly what is in it.

That's actually a good point for a lot of things. If you stop buying things that are pre-made whenever you can and you start to make them yourself, you'll know a lot more about what is in it and you'll find that you're eating way healthier.

Since I've started doing that, I've been surprised at the fact that it doesn't actually take me a lot more time to do things like make my own dips. Especially when you make enough for several days at a time. I also like making extras of things that I can freeze since that really cuts back on the amount that I have to do over time without sacrificing my health.

Another benefit that I found about making things for myself, aside from it being healthier compared to the packaged things, is that I save a lot of money. It's far cheaper to buy ingredients than it is to buy the pre-made stuff, most of the time. Another thing that i enjoy about it is that it forces me to experiment and it has allowed me to learn a lot about cooking and flavors that I just wouldn't have known before. Essentially, I was limiting myself to the flavor options that were chosen for me by food manufacturers. Since I've broken away from that, I've learned that there's a lot more out there than what I was buying on a regular basis.
