  • Goals for the new year

So it being a brand new year, I know lots of you must have some resolutions or goals that you want to achieve and I thought it might be a nice idea to share them, (be it weight loss related or otherwise). I'll go first:

This year I would like to first maintain my weight loss and if I could lose another 10 lbs that would be even better. I would also like to start dating as I have not been on a date in 2.5 years. I need to make much more of an effort to put myself out there and at least meet new people. My goal is to join an online singles group in my community as I think this will help me keep active and possibly meet someone and make new friends.

So what are your goals? Big, small, doesn't matter.

ok, so weight-wise I want to keep off the 25 lbs I lost before my wedding. In life, I really want to start taking a class or do somethingthat does something for ME, for my soul. Now that I am taking care of myself physically, I want to do something for myself mentally. I don't really have any hobbies. I work, come home, cook, clean, eat, sleep go to the gym or for a walk (because I HAVE to, not because I want to lol) I do like my life but it is a bit mundane. I think I actually want to start taking horseback riding lessons! This is something that I would never have considered 6months ago. I have always loved horses as a kid, from a distance, from "the othe side of the fence" but could never afford to actually ride. So, this is my goal, I want to ride.

I've started a food diary and I plan to finally stick to it. I really struggle to keep up with that kind of thing, but I think it's important to my diet so I can see where my problems are.

      Happy New Year!

I've cut out everything deep-fried and anything that has sugar as a first or second ingredient (or sugar-like substances like fructose, etc).

I've decided to make health a higher priority than weight loss. Weight loss is a part of health, but I won't lose weight at the expense of good health.

Keeping the food diary was a HUGE eye opener for me. I realized how little I actually need and how I was going WAY over in the quantity I was eating. This will help for sure, and then once you get used to it you can just do it in your head.
