  • Ladies! Do your hair, make up & nails!

Just a note to the ladies here that are on the weight loss wagon. Just because we are bigger, (ahem, and loosing!) doesn't mean we can't look stunning just the same. Beautiful, shiny & styled hair with nice clean make up on fresh skin always looks good no matter what your size. A nice manicure makes for a polished, clean appearance as well. You will look a lot better then the skinny troll that looks like she needs a shower. So ladies, say yes to hair, make-up, & nails! You also always feel better when you look better and when you feel better, you are more confident, sexy & happy.

It's true when ever I get my hair done or a pedicure I feel like a new woman. I also try and do myself up somewhat when I go out. Even if I am struggling with finding the right outfit or clothes, at least the rest of me looks presentable.

Also I think a woman with a bit of meat on her bones is much more attractive then a super skinny woman.
You have no idea how refreshing this is to hear. I am not HUGE anymore, but I am def not small either. Seems most men I am around want the bone racks. Like, don't you want a little something to hold on to??

I was going through a designers website lately and they have a different section of clothes for the ladies who are fat.

It's about time that designers put out a line for women that have curves! Hopefully gone are the days where if you are heavier you cannot wear anything stylish! Sheesh, gotta love it when these designers just create something that only 0.5% of the population can actually wear. They should be shot!

Thanks for this great message :D It's really true. You'll keep yourself way more motivated when you feel good about yourself and can see how beautiful you look as you lose weight. Don't forget to get a few new key pieces of clothing so that you're not wearing too-big outfits when you have a slimmer body to show off! It's especially important for your exercise clothing (when you need motivation most )

I guess if the designers wanted to stay in business, they had to accept the fact that their shoppers don't look like a clothing hanger. We have meat on our bones. Despite that fact, we can look great, too. I applaud designers who have opened their eyes to the fact that there are numbers higher than 0.

Me too. I think the average size women in America is like a 10 or 12? And to me that is not even that big. Well, I guess it depends on how tall you are but most of us certainly ain't no zero, (or size 2, 4,,,,)

You're sure right about that! If you think about it, Marilyn Monroe was a 12! She was a knock out. We seem to have caught ourselves in a downward weight spiral until we don't even know what's healthy anymore. I'll be happy to be a 10 (when I get there) and stay that way as long as it means that I'm healthy and in my proper BMI. But I'm not waiting until then to dress up, do my hair, and keep my nails manicured!

I'm agree with you. When you're bigger it doesn't necessarily mean that you have no right to be beautiful. Don't just let yourself stuck on old days, specially mother who gave birth and no time to beautify themselves. That's a big No No.. Always look after yourselves so that hubby wont look for others (lol..)

I totally agree. I know it's hard to be a mom but I see so many new moms not caring about their appearances anymore and I think they are really going to regret that later on. It's almost like pride of ownership. We need to have pride in ourselves. AAAnnd you don't want hubby's eyes going elsewhere lol
