Anyone have any ideas yet how they might beat the winter blues this year? I mean, it doesn't look like we're going to be able to be all that social yet...and it's easier to be outside in the summer. I have no idea what I'm going to do and I'm also concerned about exercising because I've always relied on the gym in the winter, but that's not any option for me now. I'm really not looking forward to the changing season. :(

Maybe create your own indoor gym? Invest in one machine that you think you'll really like and set it up in a space that will inspire you to workout. If you can't go to the gym, use the money for that membership to make your own version (as best as you can with your means) at home. :)

I actually think that's the best idea. If you can't go to the gym, then why not do what you can to bring the gym to you. You might find that it's not as expensive as you think. Even if you can't afford a machine, you can always purchase other things like yoga mats, yoga block, exercise bands or a few weights. There are lots of exercises that can lead to you getting the cardio and strength training you want/need with very minimal equipment. Maybe look at your different options. :)

Maybe focus on brining the parts the gym you like best into your home. Even though you might not be able to procure every machine you use, thinking about what it is specifically you like about those exercises and the parts of your body that they workout may help you to choose affordable exercise alternatives that bring you the same satisfaction and enjoyment. :)
