  • New Year's Resolutions 2020

It's that time of year again! I'm wondering if anyone has any New Year Resolutions for weight loss or any other big goal in their life. :)

I'll start. I do have a New Year's Resolution. My goal is to eat better next year and make more of my meals from home. I've asked for a slow cooker for Christmas so my plan is to make many of my meals in advance and freeze them so I can better watch my calories and eat healthy at the same time. :)

I stopped believing in New Year's Resolutions a long time ago. I personally believe that if you are going to do something you shouldn't wait for it. You should put your plan into action right away, especially when it comes to your health. There's no time like the present to commit. After all, if you're not ready to commit now, what makes you think that waiting to do it is going to make it any more successful. I feel that New Year's Resolutions give people an excuse to wait to make themselves better, which is never a healthy or positive way to do something good for yourself or make improvements.

I genuinely don't know. I usually say I won't and then I find I do it at the last minute. Either way, I've gotta say that ever time I have made one I stick to it for like two weeks tops LOL.

Oh yeah! I've definitely got a New Year's Resolution. I do one every year. This year my health goal is to exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. It can be any exercise, the goal is to just dedicate some solid time to moving each day. :)

No idea if I will or not. I tend to make them at the last minute...usually after I've had a few glasses of campaign on New Year's LOL.

Yup! I always have a New Year's resolution! This year I want to lose 20 pounds and keep it off and I think I've actually found a strategy I can stick to! I've even already started it. :)

I agree. They were fun when I was a teen but I don't take them seriously. I really believe that if you are going to make a change, change should happen at that time. There's no reason to wait for a special time of the year.

That's great jenny25 and jan! I hope that you both find success with your New Year's Resolutions. So far so good for me! I've already made my first batch of food for the week and I'm feeling really good about myself. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would and didn't take as much time either. I really enjoyed myself!

So...how many of you who said you were going to follow through with a New Year's Resolution are actually still doing it?

I decided to do one and quit it after a week LOL. I think I have an aversion to New Year's resolutions...yet I always make them at the last minute every year. I hope everyone else has had better success than me.
