Does meditation help with weight loss? I was thinking about starting little short sessions of it every day to see if it would help calm my mind and help me obtain better focus. I was wondering if this might also help me with my weight loss goals? Has anyone tried this method?

Yes, it can help some people with weight loss.I think it helps because it can cut down on your stress. When you're less stress and you've got greater mental focus and you're feeling more positive, you tend to make better decisions for your overall self, including diet and choosing to exercise, etc. That's how I think it can help some people.

I agree with Kyra. I think meditation also provides you with greater mental focus, which can also work in your favor. There are a lot of good meditation guides on YouTube that you can watch for free. There's no harm and giving it a try after all. Especially if it will cost you nothing in the grand scheme of things.

It can actually help and apparently the one that is supposed to work best with weight loss is called mindfulness meditation. Essentially, it helps you to accept your actions, be more aware of your thoughts so that you are more mindful of the choices you make and are more forgiving of yourself when you make mistakes. It's a really positive thing that you can add to your life, if this is something you want to try and you think might work for you.
